It’s been over 10 years since AEG Presents and The Cordish Company undertook a multi-million dollar renovation of this legendary venue, but the roots go back much further into Kansas City’s history. Now known as Arvest Bank Theatre at The Midland, the venue first opened its doors in October of 1927, and has been entertaining Kansas City ever since.
Built originally as one of the largest movie theaters in the Midwest, The Midland now hosts your favorite shows and artists, such as John Mellencamp, Thom Yorke, Smashing Pumpkins, Joe Bonamassa, Dancing with the Stars, Seasame Street Live, Steve Aoki, Jerry Seinfeld, and so many more. Since the renovation, The Midland has hosted more than 2,000 events, welcomed more than one million guests, and has become a “must play” venue for touring artists every year. In 2018, The Midland was nominated for the 30th Annual Pollstar Awards "Theatre of the Year".
The venue features flexible seating configurations from theatre to full banquet settings, with live-show capacity ranging from 1,300 - 3,000. State-of-the-art sound, lighting and amenities enhance the historic ambiance, providing a premium entertainment experience for guests.
